AC Milan target available in cut-price deal

Former AC Milan transfer target Emil Forsberg is now available for half of what Red Bull Leipzig wanted in the past.

In the summer of 2017, when the Chinese took control of AC Milan, Emil Forsberg was one Mirabelli’s top transfer targets. Despite the many attempts of the Rossoneri, Red Bull Leipzig refused to let the Swedish star leave no matter the price. Three years latter the situation has changed and Forsberg can finally leave Leipzig and Germany.

The 28-year-old left winger has long been willing to embark on a new adventure and in the past has not hidden his desire to play in Serie A. Red Bull Leipzig is literally surprising everyone both in the Bundesliga and in Europe but Forsberg has lost over time the central role he has always had.

Forsberg this season, not really a protagonist as in the past, has managed to score 9 goals and record 4 assists in 24 appearances. Not a bad tally at all. The player is still a wanted man on the market with Premier League keeping tabs on his situation, especially Tottenham and Manchester United.

AC Milan too have rekindled their interest in Emil Forsberg after learning that the left winger is available for €20 million reports SportBild. Half of what the German club wanted for his services in 2017 and half of what Eintracht Frankfurt want for Ante Rebic. The Croatian is currently the only natural left winger on Stefano Pioli’s side.

At that time his agent accused Leipzig of crushing Emil’s dream by blocking his transfer to Milan: “Leipzig must live with the knowledge that they are destroying his dreams”. A move to Italy is still on the cards for Forsberg who at Milan this time could reteam with his former national teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
